Zombie Parallax is an animated short using the parallax technique to create a 3D effect with 2D images. Using After Effects, I used a projector light to project the street background on the planes that I set up with images of soldiers and zombies scattered around the “stage”. The image of the hands holding a gun is linked to the camera to emulate a ‘first-person shooter’ perspective as the camera moves around the stage. I added stock footage to the scene to create the smoke, gunfire, blood splatters, and the explosion.
